I find it easier to get a deep socket and hit it with an impact, I usually do that on things that could break if you slip the wrench.

BUT, it has been a long time since i have seen the knock sensor, so I'm not sure if this technique will work for this specific thing.

best thing to do is just find out what size it is, then get the deepest socket you can find. if it will slide over it without breaking anything, go for the impact.

good luck

Easiest = let a mechanic do it. But, try a crescent wrench. Much easier from under the car.

i had the car at my job today and its still pretty hard to get to them from underneath. im gonna try a socket on the one closest to the front from the top, or the back one from underneath.

I used a crescent, was a slight pain but it came off.

I've got a used one if you want it.

I have not checked on this thread for a little, but the Very easiest way possible with the least amount of time is to remove the alternator, and bam you have a nice shot down there.

If you have a/c it will be slightly harder, but take the alternator off if nothing else works.
