I found a 7M block for a nice price but it's cover which says it's a GE or a GTE is gone so I don't know if it's a GE block or a GTE block what should I do to know which one it is? It's just the block nothing else with it.

Turbo oil lines are just to the left of the oil filter fitting:

Knock sensors are the small black hexagons on cylinder 2 & 5.

I wonder why it's that cheap it's a N\A block damn I thought I could swap it with my poor block. and it's kinda of a shame but looks like My car has a N\A block which converted into a Turbo....:( but I wonder how it works although it's weak and i'm still looking for a GTE block to swap it but how is it working?

Nothing wrong with the GE blocks. They don't have an oil supply / return for the turbo, only have one knock sensor, and run higher compression pistons, that's it.

All of these either don't really matter, or are relatively easy to fix.

could you put n/a pistions in a turbo block? to get the high compression?
given that their bore and stroke are similiar to a GTE i would imagine so

Well I spent this day searching for the guy who I bought my car from he said that when he got the car it was overheating so he "lowered" the compression by using 2 head gaskets? At this point I parked my car and I just donno how I used to drive it. 2 Head Gaskets? I know this lowers the compression but is that safe? cause I don't think so? and if the block is a GE block how the hell is the turbo fed with oil? how did they do it if the block have no oil fed for the turbo?

Depends on how it was implemented.

I've seen VWs that put in a spacer - like so:

Head
Head gasket
Spacer
Head gasket
Block

This drops their compression enough that they can mount a STUPID big turbo and boost it to over 1000whp.

If someone just layered in a pair of composite gaskets, I'd be rather suspicious, and expect it to blow all the time.

Fitting up an oil supply for a turbo isn't that difficult to do, the Honda crowd does it all the time. There are lots of ways of going about it, too.

Well I think the guy says he just added 2 stock toyota head gaskets without a spacer so is that gonna blow soon? till now I had the car for like 2 mounths(89\5spd) driving it extremly and boosting up to 5PSI with everything stock and seems to be no problems but what made me think that my engine\turbo is weak is that I got beaten by a 87 auto having a boost leak and running only 3psi stock too.

Another question do you think it's better to rebuild the engine or just find another one and swap it in?
