ok i baught a tripple gauge pod from a member on here and i am going to be needing some gauges...
i already have a hks boost gauge in my cigarette lighter.......
i have a couple a questions
i want to do a air/fuel gauge!!!!
but i dont know what else to do..
what gauges can i put in it that are usefull to me.
also where is a good place to get some indiglo<blue led glow> 52mm gauges.
i know gauges can get expensive and i dont want to drop a whole lot on them.

???
if i put another boost gauge in it will it interfere with the one in my vig. i dont know if i can run 2? because i rarely look at the one in my cig l ighter becaus ei am only running about 8-9 psi
thanks

there is no point in having TWO boost gauges, i suggest getting EGT & boost, in the pillar pod, but if its a tripple pod (kinda overkill) throw in water temp

Down in the cig lighter put your A/F and i would suggest getting an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and mounting that somewhere as well.

I suggest not cheaping out on gauges, a good set of gauges will last you a long time and be a set that you can rely on to tell you your engine specs accurately.

For wideband i hear the AEM6 in 1 is good, all other guages for me personally i would go with a set of Autometer Phantom series gauges.

For instance i have a dual pillar pod w/ Autometer Boost & A/F Gauge. The A/F Gauge runs on Narrowband at the moment until i get enough cash for the AEM 6 in 1.

Autometer gauges are only like $60 a pop for some of them too! Checkout HPF they usually have good deals.

But please, please buy name brand. None of taht AC Technic shit. I bought their boost gauge and it was complete shit total waste of $40

uhh.....ok

-a/f gauge=completely useless,unless you like pretty lights
-you can have as many boost gauges as your want, why not move the one from you cig lighter to your pod
-boost,egt,wideband

werd, a/f gauge is completely pointless and i personally wouldnt of bought it unless i got it for a really good deal ($80 for both gauges, a pillar pod and a few exhaust gaskets).

You only need 1 boost gauge dude, think about it. theres no sense in having more. but yes you could have more then 1.

There is a point in having multiple boost gauges, you can measure pressure sources pre and post intercooler to record pressure drop.

For boost, I recommend full electronic with memory control.

Adam, did you buy the gauges for performance, or for the look of them? If you purchased them to watch performance, then you should know what gauges you wanted in them when you bought the tripple pillar.

My personal pick for a triple pillar would be.

Boost
WB-AFR
Fuel Pressure

Only the most critical gauges would go in my direct line of sight.
My water temp might be going on my dash somewhere too.

that would be the 5 speed swap:)
i think he has the 60-1
he is at 17psi without fuel cut..... or no boost controller:)
and a bunch of other shit that has him running in the 11's.
i dont know if i am going to be swapping to 5spd 100% yet.. i might build up the tranny and cool it......
