so im lookin for some gauges for my rig. and since im a tech gadget geek:beer: ive been looking at a few different types...
either the autometer Nexus series or the Defi blue racer, or the Defi-Link Meter BF. the nexus and meter BF both require a controller box, but the blue racer dosnt. i was hoping to see some pictures and how people like the setup if anybody has it here.

i also saw some that were basically just like the meter BF that had the tint and what not for like $15-$30 a gauge..

unless sombody has had good experience with "glowshift" the its prolly not the one i want :)

for a long while i couldnt decide between the nexus and the defi BF. then defi released the BF in imperial and that about clinched it for me. the defi is 60mm and the faces are just easier to read. the autometers are 52mm and the faces are a bit cluttered. if you want a rainbow of colors then get the nexus. but if you want instrumentation thats easy to read at speed, then the defi is the better choice. i dont have mine installed yet so i cant post pics.

id take the defi's over anything. either autometers or defis are accurate, and that's really what you should be going for.

Well... you asked for 'em. Tried to give you the best idea.

The Defi's DO attract a lot of attention.. unwanted attention especially mounted up there... which is why my baby stays locked up, and alarmed at night in a nice garage =]
( one of my friends mounted them like down the side of the dash... but if you don;t get it right, the glovebox will hit the gauge cup)

Enjoy.

Oh.. and the Defi's are ACCURATE and FAST RESPONSE. I love 'em.. so I'll be switching to all Defi gauges eventually.

Don't waste your money on the glowshift stuff. In the day time, you won't be able to see the gauge clearly, it's tinted too dark. At night it looks really nice. The other problem with them is they are really cheap quality. The boost gauge my brother has sticks and moves slowly at times.

Just spend the money and get name brand stuff.. Greddy, hks, defi, autometer (high end stuff), etc...

I've got a boost gauge from them, I can't stand it. I'm waiting for another paycheck so I can load up on some autometer guages.

My friend had a 3 gauge pod in his wrx for like 80 bucks from Glowshift...
He hated them, just about everyone that looked at them for more than 5 minutes hated them. Don't go too cheap on gauges, looking bad is only one thing, accuracy is the most important.
You don't have to go quite as expensive as Defi's but get a good quality gauge for the application.
