I have the lotek gauge pod with a autometer II ultralite oil pressure and boost gauge that I am going to use once I swap the engine. I have a good ground for these and have already hooked that up. Where is a good place to tie into for the power source? Thanks.

I tried this and blew a fuse and like a noob added a larger fuse to it and then burned out the rheostat. I got a new rheostat and got the stock gauge lights working again. I forgot until tonight that the previous owner wired up some retarded rope lights that are on this same circuit wired into the cig lighter running light deal. These probably draw a good bit of power so I feel that once I take these out and wire the gauge lights to this same circuit it should work just fine without popping the fuse. The autometer ultra lite II's are LED so I feel like it would draw less power than your regular lightbulb, but I am not sure. I am an electrical noob.

Yeah, there's no way gauges will pull enough to blow that fuse by themself. Especially if you're not using the lighter.

I wire them to the accessory on the radio. It works fine and no blow fuses. I removed a bolt, put a fitting on the end of a 12 gauge ground wire, cleaned the surface and used that as my ground for all three of my Prosport gauges. Temperature, Wideband and Boost.
