Well, i just took off these indiglo gauge faces that the previous owner installed, and while doing so i tapped the oil psi gauge... It nows sits halfway between the bottom notch and the first one, so like 10 psi. Will this fix itsself once i start the car or something, or is it going to keep reading off untill i fix it? Also, same with the gas one. I think it got moved a tad, and is it going to be who knows how much off or will it correct itsself?

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks,
Shane

Well I'm pretty sure the oil pressure should read exactly ZERO when the car is off. If you plug in the dash and move the needle to that posiion, then unplug it and put the cover back on, you should be good.

As far as the gas gauge goes... well you will find out when its at empty when you next run out of fuel.

Fill it all the way up with fuel. Then you'll know if it's off or not.

The fuel one fixed itsself. One i started the car i saw it drop almost 1/4 tank immediatly to where it was before, as for the oil pressure gauge... crap.

Its not even moving smoothly up, it like chunks around and crap, and i gotta tap the plastic to get it to move sometime. Think its time to go full sweep electricial oil psi gauge.

push the needle down fully; you'll have to remove the clear plastic to do it...

if that doesn't work, then your gauge is screwed..

I have one for sale, but try what I said first, seems like something loosened up..
