for the intake manifold gasket, can I use pre-cut gasket and permatex to seal the same area? like layer them? because the manifold is pitted, and all that, and I wanna layer them to ensure the seal. so ya, :1zhelp: :1zhelp: :1zhelp:

When all surfaces look good, I don't use sealer. I only use sealer if the manufacturer calls for it, or....if there was a problem, and thats why its being repair. ei: Intake maifold gasket leak.
so am I fucked? or will it be ok? the gasket was blown into about 15 pieces w/ gaps up to about 1 1/2 inches across. but I also noticed as I was taking the manifold off that any hard to reach bolts(all of them) were only fingertight. so that was obviously worrying. whoever put this car together last was seriously retarded. I've had to rewire almost the entire engine bay because most of the wires were connected w/ electrical tape. ya, my car sucks
