specs:
7mgte, 46 trim ct26, stock fuel system, 2 1/2 exhaust, intake

started off with code 11 (random stalling)
moved some grounds and added a ground from the battery to chassis (was missing
code 11 fixed

fuel pump problem (more stalling)
then got intermittent power supply to fuel pump... sometimes it has power sometimes it don't
jumped ign feed to fuel pump wire
i believe fuel pump supply now fixed

new problem
driving fine, stop at lights or crossing etc
go to accelerate and car just stalls (doesn't happen every time... probly once every trip)

have the car idling in the driveway... rev it a bit and hold it... it pops/backfires (i'm guessing it's running quite rich at idle, thinking of sticking in slightly colder plug to help with burning)
rev it quite a bit up to 4.5k and off and back up etc etc
leave it come back to idle... sitting there for about 30-60 seconds... then just out of the blue revs start slowing down to 400rpm and then STALL

no codes
when running it runs mint!

just randomly stalls :s

any ideas to throw around?

Thanks :D

i was just suddenly thinking

it's kinda odd.... the stalling thing... how it stalls i'm sure the ecu would normally throw a code

sooooooooo... what i'm thinking..
the ecu is intermittently losing power... hence shutting down the engine and no storage of codes

hows that theory?

I'm pretty certain that the ECU stores enough power to set a code 11 if it loses power. Should be easy to check though, fire it up, pull the EFI fuse while it's running, then plug it back in and check for codes.

Of course, the usual disclaimer applies - I have NO clue what sort of carnage this might cause. :D

hmm... but imagine driving.... and (hypothetical of course lol) someone removes the power terminal off the battery.... is it going to store codes?

and what on earth is a dashpot setting?

and just something funny.... not once in new zealand have we had a tps go out lol
don't ask me why or how
but i'll check it anywayz :)

If you're driving (motor running) the Alternator is suppling the power so you can unhook the battery leads and it will keep running Suze.
