Hey guys,

I was going to go with a Bosch motorsports intank fuel pump when I was redoing my fuel system. Now that I wanted to order the pump...I lost the information on the specific part number and the source I was to order the pump from.

Does anyone know of another fuel pump that would be able to support 700hp, preferably intank.

If I was going for a 700hp pump, I would go sump tanked with an outboard fuel pump.

Contemplated the same thing. Not sure I want to have a protruding fuel peice on the bottom of my car.

I take the car road racing as well as drag racing - and the car with the new suspension is low.

What outboard fuel pumps are the most reliable for this amount of horsepower?

Heh, what's up James? You getting senile? I still remember it is the 044 model you were after. Google said this place has a pile of them- http://www.jayracing.com/ . That is the highest capacity intank pump I know of and 700 rwhp would be pushing it.

The Aeromotives I know of (between me and Fernando we have about half a dozen running around now) are running well so far but, the Weldon is the best external pump. You are welcome to come have a look at mine whenever you'd like to get an idea of how I installed it, I'm not too concerned about ripping it off on a bump or anything.

Yes, getting senile...Brian, you are my savior. As always. I'm going to have to give you a call. I can't find a place to start installing everything and getting things ready for spring time, since when I parted from J&R. And I wont lie...probably need help with doing the fuel system.

walbros

wouldn't trust $1000 engine to a walbro, sure as hell wouldn't trust a $5000 engine to a walbro.

Weldon or even the Magnafuel Prostars SQ. Anything else is just a ticking time bomb.

Are you guys crazy?? Do you know how many 2jz motors out there run twin walbros with more money in the motor then 2 of our cars are worth.

non that I have heard of. Why is a single walboro the standard when upgrading our own fuel. It is well known that one pump will flow enough for 500 hp and pump at 65 psi. I have owned over 10 supras since the 90's and everyone of them had a 255 lph walbro in them, and none of them have ever failed.

agreed

that is why most guys actually run Denso and not Dalbro ;) Speak to Ken Henderson about what he thinks of the walbro. I personally can not use them thanks to ethanol but even if i could i wouldn't.

it is not the standard. Only reason it is the "goto" pump is because it is CHEAP. PERIOD.

Agreed. When I first started modifiying Supras we were using the walbro because it was cheap and easy. Now that there are other options out there - it is better to get quality parts rather than what's cheap and widely used.

Well, I've seen 4 of them die so far and heard of several more, just from the local Supra owners here on the Island. Now you've heard too. :)
