alright guys heres the scoop: When i am wanting power, accelerating, it seems that i am getting the required air, but not the needed fuel for the right mixture. As i give gas it jolts back and it becomes more apparent at higher fuel pressures(3000-4000rpms). On a cold start it acts perfect, but when it warms up and i turn it off then back on the problem happens. The engine is good, checked compression. Figured that the fuel delivery was the source of my problem. Put in fuel injection cleaner and changed out the fuel filter, which happened to be the orginal from dec. 1986. But still having the problem but not as bad as before. i figure what is left is possible computer malfunction or fuel pump. tell me what you guys think, or if any of you have had this problem and now what is up...

Codes? Have you checked the timimg with a light? Or checked the timimg belt to see if it has been replaced, the cam gears line up were they are suppose to? Just trying to elimate other possible problems.

It sounds like you're tip in (and probably the rest of the scale) is WAY too rich. Have a wideband? If not, stop screwing with your fuel pressure until you get one and learn how to use it.

Sorry, usually I'd give you more, but no free lessons for today... good luck, I gotta go.

Maybe the fuel pump resistor, or the relay? You can bypass the resistor. There's a good write up about the fuel pump resistor and relay by Shaeff here somewhere(search...)
