not a damn thing. I can't get it to fire, I've got fuel, I've got spark.... WTF? when I threw a lil starter fluid in 'er she gave me a nice front fire (assuming, there was a loud pop and some fumes) I've got 'er grounded on the head. I dunno what else to look for. oh I had to replace the TPS, so it's not factory set, but I guess it's close

p.s sorry for all the new threads, I swear this is the last one

Was the TPS the only thing you changed, and now it won't start???

Look at the TSRM and get that properly calibrated first. Although, the engine should fire even with it out of adjustment I would think.

If you follow the instructions on how to "replace" it (taking it out, then reinstalling it) it should line up correctly.

Before you do that though, when cranking the engine, hook up a timing light and see what the timing looks like on the notch on the crankshaft pully.

I've removed the CPS and everything looks decent. a crack on the dust cover and a broken gasket so I have to replace that before I can use timing light. but with that it should atleast fire, I mean I used a lil mock spark tester and everythings cool on that end, I jumped terminals and the fuel pressure thingy whirrs. what are some other possible candidates? could fuel still not be getting to it even though it passed the jumper test? how many grounds does the engine need?

Sorry, it was a quick lookup. It does show how to set the cps correctly though. That could be it. I would line up the crank and cam gears to TDC on #1 and make sure the CPS is lined up properly.
