if you had a relocated battery to the trunk and wanted to do a constand 12v to the pump couldnt i just run a line from the power side and splice it into the power wire before the connector to the fuel pump?

why would you want the pump a-runnin when you're sleepin?

in some more serious thought, you could, indeed run the pump directly off the battery.
using a relay, there could be a constant 12v 10awg wire going from the battery, through the relay, and to the pump. then, using an 18awg trigger tapped into the ignition, that would turn the pump on and, bam! 12v constant.

i figured if it was taped in before the connector it would cut off with the car

just cut the yellow wire at the fuel pump relay/resistor pack. and the pump is always "hard wired" when the fuel map is in open loop, I.E. when the engine is under load...
Unless someone has monitored the fuel pump voltage and noted different, But yeah, you could use the factory power wiring to trigger a relay which is hooked directly to the battery VIA big ass wire, which WOULD boost the voltage at the pump.

just dont do what some idiot did in his lexus.Hardwired the fuelpump to the ignition. He was dragging on the street with 2 gals showin off his drivin and car and crashed.the 2 girls inside burned to death due to the pump still pumping fuel all throught the car.

just find the conecter on the P/S fender, and cut the yellow wire. The yellow wire pulls the relay in and feeds power through the resistor. Without the relay, the resistor no longer is in the circuit. Just cut the yellow wire, that's all.

what about unplugging at the resistor and just taking the male end of the connector and running a wire back into it just a loop, the resistor also would be out of the loop, thats what supragirl and a couple other people told me atleast, or would the relay still think the resistor is there even thought it woudlnt be plugged in
