How long should the fuel system maintain pressure after the car has been turned off, mine starts to drop as soon as I turn the car off.

I have a walbro pump with a aeromotive regulator. It will hold pressure for about 40-50 minutes. I have seen stock fords hold pressure overnight.

walbro pump, aeromotive regulator- mine hold pressure for about an hour, and it slowly bleeds down. there is a check valve in the fuel pump, that helps it retain pressure.

If its still the factory setup, and everything is working correctly, (as mine is) then I'd say it should hold for several hrs at least.

The pump does not come on until the starter is engaged, and my car starts almost immediately, every time, no matter that it sat all night, or all day. So its holding pressure pretty darn good.

Your check valve at the pump may be the problem, or a leaky injector.

You could try putting 2 bottles of TECHRON into a full tank of gas, and run it down to 1/4 full. This may help by cleaning out the injectors and check valve.

Its probably cheaper to buy chevron gas instead of the additive.
