fuel pressure question?

You would definitely not want to block the return line. The pressure needs to be regulated, and to do that the pump supplies the fuel at a higher pressure and the regulator bleeds off the excess fuel pressure back to the the fuel tank. The fuel pump does not regulate the pressure so if you blocked the return line completely you could probably damage the pump and it would run WAY too rich off boost. Probably way too rich on boost too. Aeromotive makes nice regulators, that would be a good idea. You would also want to upgrade the fuel pump itself to a least a turbo mk3 pump ot possibly a Walbro 255lph or an MK4 TT fuel pump.

To add to Aaron's post

Volume goes down as pressure increases after a certain point with these pumps.

They also use the fuel to cool the pump so if you have a pump straining against the injectors it's not going to last long.

Oh boy, you have a lot of reading to do, start using the search, the wastegate determines you boost. Look in FAQ section, try to read up on basic how things work type stuff, leave the timing alone.
