Hello, im going to be taking ownership of a JZA70 Supra next week and I was wondering what fuel I should be using? sorry if this has been asked before but search didn't help me and I don't want to be using higher octane that is required as id literally be burning my money lol. I live in the UK and the fuel I have available at the local stations is 91, 93 and 94 octane (US rating not UK) the car is completely stock and will be staying that way.

Thank you very much.

I run 91 in mine. It's the highest fuel I can get in California. Everywhere else gets like 92 or 93. I would suggest running the best pump gas you can afford especially if it is modded.

I wish you guys weren't limited to 91, it makes me feel bad when I see that. We can actually get up to 105 pump in FL through certain Sonoco stations.

Id run the 93-94 octane because its a turbocharged engine.
^ This. The higher the octane, the more resistant it is to igniting prematurely due to heat. You want higher octane in turbo charged engines especially if running more boost to avoid predetonation and damaging the engine.

Yah, I dont know what the big deal is about higher octane. We also get no love on the motor swap tip. Even though an engine runs clean you cant legally run a 1j since it was never offered in the US. And like everyone else said run 93+.
