Fuel Issue

My Supra always runs rich. It feels weaker then I think it should feel. The turbo is not all that responsive and drops from 11 to 7psi after 5500rpms. Like I said, it runs rich, you can smell it. Kinda makes me think boost leak, though I can not see where one might be, I do plan on pressure testing the system. Also, it runs rich all the time, even idling, so that is boost leak independent. I put a new O2 sensor in and it did nothing. I checked the resistance on my AFM and it may be a little low, but aside from that I am unaware of what might be the problem.

Note also that in the past couple days when I hit boost the turbo whines. It whines like never before, sounds very much like my friend's turbo 2 RX7 when it hits boost.

I am also running a 3" turbo back exhaust, K&N, ball and spring boost controller, stock CT26 with stock AFM and injectors.

If you guys have ANY ideas on what might be a problem please do not hesitate to respond.

Check your engine error codes.

Initially it sounds like a boost leak, but maybe you've got some sort of turbo issue. Is it a high pitch whine or more of a squealing whine? What do you have installed on the car or what condition is the car giving you that tells you its running rich at idle?

The only code I throw is 34, which is fuel cut. I use to hit fuel cut all the time at 11psi or sometimes less. Now I haven't hit it in about a week and did not change anything... It is hard to explain the whine, sounds just like a Turbo II RX7. I guess based on the two options you gave me i'd call it a high pitch whine. I can smell the fuel at idle also, granted I have no emissions equipment or charcoal canister... Everyone who drives behind me says my car smells like unburnt fuel bad, even when i'm just driving pretty normal, not hitting much boost.
