fuel gauge?

i pulled my cluster out today to try to fix the wiring well it wouldn't work so i put it back. didnt cut anything or move anything at all, and now the gas gauge is way past the f mark and it will not read right at all. what the hell is going on??

you may have skrewed up the mechanism the turns the needle, which is probably a spiral piece of metal in this case. these parts are pretty sensitive.
