First: I have been talking to the host of the map-ecu web site (Map-Ecu Man) and asked him how to adjust the map-ecu to avoid fuel cut and he told me Removing fuel cut comes down to how you setup the fuel table if it is caused by the karman vortex frequency. You just need to limit the values in the fuel table below the cut frequency. That is all a FCD will do. Extending it is better just in case you get a boost spike (e.g. jammed wastegate) and run lean. Eliminating your fuel completely is very dangerous.)So my question is what is the fuel cut frequency for a 88 supra turbo?

Second: Does backing up the fuel cut cause you to go lean at full boost?

Third: How lean is to lean for this car?

The reason you probably aren't getting an answer is that it's obvious you haven't searched an we tend to assume anyone too lazy to search is a waste of our time.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, the answer is:

There is no "fixed value" for the Karmann Vortex signal that will issue fuel cut - it's a matter of air volume, which is effected by barometric pressure, temperature, etc. It's also a matter of engine load, RPM, etc.

Article on fuel cut here:

Provided your car is a turbo car, tuning for the street is generally done in the 11:1 to 12:1 range, with 11.5:1 being optimal. Anything 12:1 or leaner starts risking your engine.

WEll first off thanks for the help, but I have searched a lot for this answer on this forum and other resources. Most post on here about fuel cut is this related to the code 34 that the ecu throws, and if the question is asked on this forum about fuel cut it normally is something that everyone ask (like what psi can I hit before I hit fuel cut or how do I get around fuel cut). That answer is normally is answered by saying get FCD which is not the answer I'm looking for. So to answer your assumption no I'm noy lazy just new with supra's.

Yeah Thanks this will be a big help for me. The person that is tuning my car tommorrow has a lot more experience in tuning cars then me and he asked me to try and find out the answer to some of these questions so we would have a better idea where to start. My car has the stock ct-26 with the t-61 upgrade, upgraded intercooler, aeromotive FPR, Walbro FP, RC 550cc, map-ecu, spec stage 3 clutch, greddy profec type s BC, and 3in. exhaust. So I'm very excited to find out how much Hp and tq the car will be putting out after the tune tomorrow.
