Is your wastegate actuator shimmed? If it is, unshim it. If it isnt, check what pressure The actuator starts opening the waste gate. This can be done by connecting a bike pump with gauge to actuator. Whatever pressure your putting into it when it starts to move, thats the psi its set at (varies) If its too high, you might want to just replace it. I believe theyre supposed to be set to 8psi, but have seen ones from 6psi to 13 psi.

Ninja edit: Also check for boost leak.

550's, lex AFM...... but you really need to get all the supporting mods, do a search about the lex 550 combo and you will find tons of info!

Also get a real boost gauge to see what you are actually running before you hurt your motor.

First of all buy a boost gauge. Second of all do research, Nothing solves problems like knowledge. Third fuel cut isnt a problem its a safety, without it there would be many more blown engines laying around. Forth, a complete modification list would really be helpful.

This is the right answer however he was looking for the simplest (and i presume cheapest) solution which is turn down boost.

Either way get a real boost gauge like seth said. This will give you a better idea on whats going on in there.

Speed density MAFT Pro is also an option.

thanx you guys for your input i know i need to get a boost gauge and a boost controller most likely. I would do the 550 injectors but its got the stock automatic in it and id rather have a manual. This is an 89 supra turbo auto with 105,000 original miles ive gone the motor and freshened it up with rings bearings etc. iam the second owner the rebuild has about 3,000 miles on it i sent the turbo to turbonetics made it stage 2 i have an apexi intake bic ddp test pipe bic drager exhaust and thats about it. the car was completely stock when i got it and have alot of money in it. I plan on selling it cause i really need the money, this car is perfect beautiful original interior new paint i have the original spare tire owners manual and jack.

Can't turn boost down with that. The "problem" is that the exhaust is giving enough retriction to keep the turbo from spooling higher, thus the higher than stock boost. To fix it properly you either start taking off nice exhaust pieces and replacing them with stock or you do the upgrades necessary to deliver more fuel and tune it accordingly.

i kinda had a feeling it was the exhaust for some reason.
