i just finished my end of summer project. cometic headgasket, ARP's, 550's, Lexus AFM, Walbro, and a SP61GT. I have an upgraded FMIC, hardpipes, anad a turbo back 3" exhaust, of course. I've only floored it twice, the second time i hit fuel cut. I really want to enjoy this new setup without fuel cut getting in the way. Is this normal or is there something wrong? What can i do to get rid of fuel cut (without putting my engine in jepordy)?

I'm not sure on this.....but I think you can back the screw ALL the way out for it and kind of scale the AFM output down with an SAFC2 to raise fuel cut further. I backed my screw all the way out and added 6% fuel all the way across from 3000 rpm to redline.... I've hit 19.5 psi, and still have not hit fuel cut.

14-14.5 PSI fuel cut. I'm running the bolt on.

My AFM has no screw, so no that wouldnt help me. And i have the SAFC, not the SAFCII. Thanks tho.

i was thinking about it, but isnt the purpose of fuel cut to keep form doing damage to your engine?

If i got my car tuned could that possibly fix it?

You need a fuel computer... SAFC, Emanage, something like that. Sounds like your fuel cut is in about the right place, though, 16 psi on the SP61 is a shitload more than 16psi on a stock CT.

yea, thats what i was thinking. I have the SAFC, its just not altering any signals. How could i change the fuel cut? Get it tuned based on my A/F logs?

I'm not intimately familiar with the capabilities of the SAFC, but I know the theory, anyhow.

You use something to either defeat the FC or scale it to a higher spot, and then you use the SAFC to add fuel back in until you are running at the AFR you want.

You can increase the fuel pressure and then you would have to lean out on the afc. That will move your fuel cut up also. But best to get MAFT pro or VPC.
