Ok so I was driving my freshly built 7m. It's got about 600ish miles, so I wanted to give her some gas! Lol I never took it past 5k yet.

Any ways in 2nd gear it goes to 7ish psi at 5k before I shift, than In 3rd it cuts out at 5k at 7psi again... No CEL.

Now the turbo I have has a 1.15 AR (came with car, I want a smaller AR! Lol ) so I'm thinking maybe because it doesnt start to boost till like 3.5k that it's just already using alot of fuel up there before my turbo even starts to push out more PSI...? Idk especially cause its still got the 440s in there??

No noises or anything just stops for a second...

Mods are:-

JE .20 over
Eagles
2.0 mhg
Rebuilt head
T61- 1.15 AR turbo
3 in all the way from turbo
1pc DS
Fatty IC/2.5 in hard pipes.

I have stock 440s in there, I'm waiting until I get a bung welded in for my WB before I throw my 560s and maf-T.

Timing is at 10* btdc.

i have the same issue with stock turbo. i hit fuel cut but no CEL. Its my AFM i believe, the temperature sensor that is. Once it warms up i don't hit fuel cut as much. but around 100 mph i start hitting fuel cut more & more.

Right now on my accordian hose, I have the stock bpv port capped off cause I have an aftermarket. I'm gunna pull that off and see if I can get anymore boost.

A guy by me that has built a couple of them says he would just leave that port on the accordian open and it would raise the boost to 14lbs... So maybe that will help spool the turbo a tad quicker, allowing me to boost a little more...

Ill let you know how it goes once I leave work today.

Taking the cap off the accordian hose is just going to let in a bunch of unmetered air that the ecu won't compensate for. So you'll run lean. Don't know if I'd chance blowing something up. Especially if you have the 560s and maf-t waiting to go on soon. I'd just wait for those to be on.

Yes but were the bung is on my DP, part of it sits in the little tranny window on the side right behind the PP. I dnt wanna risk the sensor being in there wen I Start it up. Lol it doesn't touch anything, but it's real close to the PP.

So I'm waiting to find a place that will be able to weld another one in.

Pretty sure its just the amount of CFMs that are entering the engine from the big T61 wheel. I know when a buddy had a 60-1 on his Fuel cut went down to 7psi. Because its a MAF setup, not MAP. More air going in from the big wheel, the computer thinks the stock turbo is bosting over the stock fuel cut limit (12psi)

That's what I was thought was happening... Something like that at least... Would Lexus/560s help that a lil?

I wanted to do that until I get my WB so I can tune with the maf-T.

I'm assuming it will be a lil rich with Lexus/560s in... Any downside besides gas mileadge? Should I worry if I dnt have a WB for the combo now?

Yes it will help the cut. will it help the motor from blowing up? No.

Priorities: WB First! SO you can tune it.
Get the lexus/550s or 560s combo. Then tune it with the WB. I wouldnt roll the dice and put it on without a WB. IMO

Ya thats wat I thought... I might as well wait till I get the WB in. I have the Lexus AFM, 560s and maf-t right now... I'm just waiting for the WB really... And the motor only has like 600ish miles on it, so I'm not tryin to rush into raising boost right now. Lol

But I'll just wait till I get the 560s and maf-t in then with the WB of course.

Thanks!

Sounds like you got it all figured out.
