Front tire rub

Well I finally got the old girl inspected and aligned after replacing a few front end parts. Now I've got an issue ( post alignment) my car, 87 turbo 5spd hardtop, is lowered on eibach springs factory shocks. Front only ( yea yea it's cold and I don't have a shop, having tems turns the rear spring job into a real PITA) so it's good till spring-ish. Anyways before I had it aligned, I had no issues with rubbing. Granted I only drove it a few miles before alignment. After alignment it is rubbing on real hard lock turns. tire size is stock up front. only thing not factory is the Mitsu wheels (16X8) Is the rubbing normal? Never drove a lowered supra till this one, so no experience to go from.
thanks guys

I rub a little on the passenger side, only when the wheels cranked all the way left though. And I switch between sawblades and some old Hasemi's that are the same size and off set as a sawblade. Never thought anything more of it other than bitchin about how low I am

Do you know what the offset on the mitsu wheels are? That would tell us how much it's pushing in or out of the wheel well.
Did the alignment shop give you a printout of what changed in terms of alignment settings?

Till you hit a bump while turning and tear your fender up. Its happened a few times to me with my other cars. Just get the fenders rolled. Not to hard of a job.

More than likely it's rubbing on the liner and not the fender...

this. Im not rolling my fender to protect the far inside corner of my inner fender

Yup I agree, my friend was driving my car and hard right into a gas station put a slight bruise on my fender, kinda upsetting.

OP wht size tires in the front?

I'm not sure on the offset ofthe mitsu wheels. I'm going to assume that they are close to a sawblade. I will find out next time I pull the front wheels off, and thanks to a failing rack that should be coming up soon. :3d_frown: tire size up front is 225/50/16 Fuzion ZRi tires. It's only rubbing on the inner fender wheel so it's not a huge deal, but I think the extra 1 inch width may be what's causing the rub. I'm going to throw a couple sawblades up front with stock tires and see what happens. I really wouldn't have worried about the rub too much, but i'm currently in the market for new rims. I guess what I've concluded is that I need to get all my measurements and find the right offset wheel setup for the car and more than likely roll the fenders out a little.
thanks for all the input guys.
