Front seats ruined

I'm somewhat upset right now. I had left both front seats in one of the rooms of the apartment where we sort of store everything. I had constantly asked my mother to watch out when she's mopping the floor, so she wouldn't ruin the seats. I originally had them on top of some heavy boxes (wooden ones), but she would constantly topple them over and once even hurt herself. So I thought, "well, for her own safety, even though I'll die before her....".

Just now, I went to take the dust off of them and get one ready to put it in the car, to see how it would look like after some photoshopping...... the rails underneath are so rusted..... but so f...ing rusted..... I even put some gloves on cuz I was scared of touching them (rust that falls upon light touch makes me nervous and squirm).

I can't find the picture of the interiors I was going to go after, aside from the colors, but I think they would have looked nice, along with matching rear seats. Now.... I don't know what to do. It's a bit hard to find these seats here in PR, and shipping from the states isn't reasonable.

So...................... what should I do? Find some FC3S seats? Order some comfortable, matching bucket seats with the stock seat belts? I don't know what to do now.... I have quite a number of ideas, but the frustration and flood of mental images isn't making me feel comfortable.

Maybe a display of other's interiors or wise ideas (or even innovative ones that might be worth it) will cheer me up.

Sandpaper the rust and repaint the rails?
I thought about it............................................................................ maybe I should sleep on it, and look at them again tomorrow. I'm just frustrated cuz my Xbox died on me too lol.

But the rust looks so heavy on it....

it's VERY common for the seat rails in targa cars (of any make, seen it on a lot of other cars) to rust pretty bad, but it's only surface...
