front main seal

what have you people use for the outside of the seal?i know inside you use grease on the inside but i dunno about the outside.some people say permatex but i dont know where they sell it

Silcone gasket maker. Buy anywhere. Just a thin coat applied by finger.

I used gasket shellac, permatex #5, also known as 'Indian Head', as suggested by IJ!
