I'm putting a front facing intake manifold on and having trouble trying to figure out how to get the new throttle cable connected to the stock throttle body. Its a straight shot to the throttle body, but the throttle body linkage needs to be pushed and I can only pull, any ideas?

thanks
chris

I think they usually switch to different throttle-bodies when they do this. However I was reading one thread once where the guy modified the bracket that the throttle cable mounts to... flipped it 180 degrees somehow so that it was pulling on the other side. I'll post up the link if I can find it.

you dont need to change the direction of anything. All you need to do is weld an extension into the pushrod and weld an extension to the ball on the TB that the pushrod connects to. The stock throttle cable will work with the stock throttle linkage and still allow the use of the stock cruise control function. Create a mounting bracket for the stock linkage that will go over the fuel injectors. When all completed, the stock throttle cable, linkage, and extension (with small portion welded into it) should make a pretty straight line from the firewall to the butterfly on the throttle body and point towards the front of the car.

I would post pics if I could but I am on a government computer and supraforums is blocked - I guess they havent found this one yet. Go to SF and do a search under my user ID for some kind of pics of my engine bay. All I posted here was lost in the big crash.
