Front Crank Seal

Is the Front Crank Seal for the 1JZ the same as the 2JZ like the rear one, or are they different?

Also, I read that the MkIV's have had trouble w/ the Front Crank Seals...has anybody had any similar problems w/ the 1JZ?

mine leaked ...i put it back in and added some permatex grey and it was no problem after that

Yeah I heard the leake easly so I used the tension spring from the old one on the new one as well as added some silicone to the outside edge. There was a good writeup on it on a mk4 site...

sweet. now what to do about leaking cam seals ??

1j/2j front and rear crank seals are the same u can get them from any parts store.

the cam seals are different, contact champion toyota
