front bumper symbols?

okay, so im an idiot, i know this. but i need to know something about the toyota symbol on the front of the mk3. was there a year that it came with the newer toyota symbol? i have a 90 and mine is the old red rectangular one. i have a couple of the toyota symbols at the house to do the shave and swap but i just wanted to know so i dont feel like an idiot anymore.

Yes, it came with the newer round T symbol on the 91 & 92, IIRC. Maybe only on the '92? Jeff Lange will know, I bet. :)

The old red one is cool... the tiled background is a traditional artform in Japan.

yea, I like the older 1 too. the new T circle on just seems to make the car a more common toyota product, when it is the flag ship for toyota itself, it's like if chevy put the regular chevy symbol on the corvette.

i have an 87 and i bought the newer symbol from mean streets motorsports here in asheville and mine looks great but it also has a white inlay with it to match the car

My 91 has the newer symbol. Makes it less confusing when someone is trying to figure out what it is.

91+ models have the new Toyota logo, they also did away with the "TOYOTA" on the grille in 91, with the "T" logo added on the nose.

The factory 91-92 logo fits into the square indentation in the nose piece, so if you get a MK3 logo, there's no work required to get it to fit in, however, you need one that matches the color of your car, as it has a colored background on the logo.

where does some one get one if they would want to have one? i mean, i have a friend that has a friend that might want to put it on there....
