Is there any reason you chose to attach the engine to the frame instead of the subframe?
I'm sure it's noisier that way.

Hi, I took the car to A-Z Kustom in Arizona and asked them to set up the car for a V8. When the dummy block was attached to the transmission, they originally attached the block with a motorplate. However, the motormounts were right next to the frame. So, I went with what was most convenient connecting point. The swap actually went very smoothly and the car seems to like the engine attached to the frame. I've made a few modifications after the initial swap, (i.e. frame reinforcement, and tubular steel mounting points).

My end goal was to keep the engine in the car and not break any motormounts. I broke an earlier set up out at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the engine came out of the car and caused a lot of damage. I could probably have rubber mounted the engine to keep vibration to a minimum, but it doesn't seem excessive. I think the front struts are taking the brunt of the vibration.
