i found this '84 p-type locally for $800. it needs a clutch but it seems to run pretty good. it starts right up but idles at 2k, it has no hesitation at all when i give it some gas tho :naughty:
i'll be changing the clutch out tomorrow and working through whatever kinks i run across. i plan on making this a good stock daily driver while i build the mkiii. let me know what ya think!

for the idle issue
- check for vacuum leaks
- ensure ISCV is operating properly (may need cleaning too)
- check throttle plate position, tps and linkages...somebody may have messed with them

im not looking forward to changing the clutch in a shop without a lift...but its better than paying $400 for someone else to do it. i just cant wait to drive this thing..it looks like a lot of fun
