I've just been pushing my car around for a few months with no oil in the diff and all of a sudden its very hard to turn the rear wheels. would it be possible that its seized? Who sells aftermarket LSD's?

seems unlikely... did you drain it or totally clean it out (ie; no oil residue)

there are other ways to lock up the rear;

over tighten axle shafts onto wheel bearings
parking brake jammed up
rear calipers rust seized to rotors
transmission in gear

rear calipers rust seized to rotors most likly cause. The diff will not sieze if the car is only being pushed around, theres not enough heat build up and parts arnt moving that fast for that to happen. If you drove it then thats a different story.

Being in Massachusetts, my money is on rusty brakes. Or rusty something or other. :p
