so ive had my supra back together for about two weeks now after replacing the head gasket and behold i have blown the head gasket again. so rather then just replacing it again i think that i am going to pull the engine and compleately rebuild with forged pistons, rods and other goodies. my goal with this car is to eventually see 600 hp. so with that i would like to know the pros and cons of different brand of forged rods, pistons, and bearings. thanks for any help

i don't really know of anyone downfall of aftermarket pistons/ rods for the 7m.

all are good.
Just get a good machinest, and triple check all your clearances and you will have a stout motor.

same question here. I'm shooting at 400rwhp, and i want to go all forged and maybe in future go for 500-600rwhp. What internals should i get? And what other works need to be carried out in order to hold this power?

Search on here for the guys who are making 600 HP and you'll have a good idea of what you'll need. Most likely they'll have a list of almost every piece that has been put into thier engines ;).

Did you even check to see if the head was warped, or did you just scrape the old HG off and slap a new one on?
no i had the heads resurfaced and made sure that there was no gasket material on the block.

Um.... Supras have only one head for starters ;). Second, you should have had the block and the rear timing plate machined at the same time. That's is most likely why you BHG'd.
