well, since i started modifying my supra, i might as well document it :) also, seing how i started modifying, i probably wont stop for a while.

some background info on my car,

it is a base package early 89 NA. that means hardtop, no ABS, no Tems. AKA, one of the lightest :naughty: when i got it, it already had an R154 and 46k mile JDM GE motor put in when i got it. it also had exhaust ending at a hollow cat, no PS and no AC.

about a week of having the car w/o exhaust (and it getting the nickname "the beast") i got a 2.5in exhaust fitted. that quieted it down a bit, that started the modifying bug.

next came replacing the blown suspention, and while replacing, why not upgrade. now it is sitting on eibachs and KYB GR-2s.

Pics to come, along with either a NA-T conversion using GTE electronics, or a 1j swap, either could be run off of MS, not sure yet.

recent news, i have a BHG. there goes the NA-T and 1j is looking a little pricey.
so... looks like im going to swap in a 7mgte, and ive got a rebuilt one in my eye. ive also started a shopping list for parts durring the swap. it looks like this:

Spearco replica intercooler.
2.5" IC piping kit
935 ct26
single guage pod
3in DP
cooleeze 3in exhaust piping
3in highflow cat
bosh103 kit
52mm Boost Guage

and im going to be running about 10-12 PSI once i break everything in. and im not sure which clutch to go with so any oppinions will be appreciated.

ok, so now its time to bump this and give a nice update. I have no BHG :). i did however have a giant coolent leak because my aux fan cut the line to the overflow bottle. i also have another leak behind the motor on some 90* hoses and it drips down onto the header, but its not bad.

because i have no f00king clue what im going to do with my supra performance wise, i think that im just going to keep it NA and not worry about speed, ill worry about that when i can afford to do more than a half assed job.

so pics to come when i work on it in like 10-20 min.

seing how i cant decide what motor to swap in, ill keep the one that in there.

possible NA build parts list:

new exhaust 2.75"
OBX headers
stock turbo cat (cops started checking for the smallest things
264 regrinds or rewelds
10.5 comp pistons
MHG ARP
MSD 6a
MSD plug wires
SAFC and WB02

that should keep me happy if i decide on NA. ive got lists for every motor that i could drop in.

ide absolutely love for you to work on parts and such for me, but i dont know what im doing with this motor yet, but if it turns out that i am going to build a "real" na, then ill go to you for a hand (and for a place where i can get high compression pistons and 264 cams)

ide like it even more if you gave me a good discount and had me put "935 motorsports" on my car :naughty:

well, ive changed my mind again, but i bet suprahero will like this idea a little better. i managed to get my grimy little hands on an amazing piece of machinery, a jza80 motor, and i managed to get it without paying a dime. rather im paying for it with my time. its not the gte motor, but it will turn into a ge-t.
more to come, including pictures of the new motor.

it also looks like im going to be running a daveh/boostwerx turbo kit, running the TE44 turbo, as i have no need for a t61. the te44 should come close to clearing the distributor, so it shouldnt be too hard to make it fit :). im also looking at the larger style driftmotion intercooler, along with 3in hardpipes.
of course im going to be using BIC motormounts, and a 1j bellhousing.

ok, yet another idea, what is this possibility #6?

here it goes.

buy this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUPR...tegoryZ33742QQihZ020QQitemZ300083689454QQrdZ1

ditch that turbo, and use this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-T...4QQihZ005QQcategoryZ33742QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

with

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-T...5QQihZ005QQcategoryZ33742QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

while using this for engine management

http://www.maftpro.com/tgen2info.shtml

along with a LS-1 maf, wideband, and a full 3in exhaust all the way back, using a 2.5in turbo cat to pass emmissions and after, the cat will be ripped off
