Ok a why do you "need" fast?

you either have control or have a fast raquet. Having a fast raquet might FEEL nice but that fast blade WILL cause missed shots as it is more prone to mishit if you hit incorrectly (ie bad stroke or bad footwork or combination of both).

Control is the stronger and preffered choice as it give more precise shots especially when dealing with placement more than kill shots and while learning you want definetly placement. Power will come naturally after that.

Can we sticky this thread? I think that would be helpful for all the badminton playing MKIII owners out there.

MKIII...like any sport that isnt seen as "manly" you have to expect a little ribbing. Ive seen this played by pros and quite honestly its sick! Another example is table tennis (or ping pong as we noobs call it) When played by a pro its unbelievable the amount of skill it requires to compete.

But that does not excuse you from having to take shit for it! :biglaugh:

Listen, you can play "shuttlecock" all you want, just dont tell us you drink Latte's with the "boys", read poetry on Friday nights, or have a part time job at a fudge packing factory....and we'll let it slide!

well again

stick with a more control raquet. Remember the speed of the raquet is dictated by the tension of the string. Higher tension means more control.

p.s

I play ping-pong/table tennis along with tennis, raquetball and badmington ;)
