i joined this forum in january, but i don't think i ever officially introduced myself to you all. all of my friends call me dunckel, so you too may do so. i have an 88 metallic blue turbo, targa, 5 speed with a jdm engine. i am a paint contractor in yakima washington. my first car was a four banger that i tried to make fast. didn't work out. the next car i thought i would change directions with, and make a show car out of it. it worked and i was soon asked to join a car club in yakima called "street concepts." the car won several awards but was slower than slow. my friend called me one day to show me his new purchase, an 88 supra. he purchased it with a bhg for $1000 with the hopes of fixing it and selling it. i fell in love with it and immediately and offered him $1200. he said no. the offer went up a few more times over the next couple of days until finally i offered $1800. he took it. i know i may have payed way too much for a broken car, but turbo supras are very rare around here, and i didn't want the opportunity to go to waste. so the car sat in the back yard for a year until i got enough money for a jdm 30,000 mile engine, clutch and all of the other crap that i needed. now, the car runs great and i love it more and more everyday.
