Yes there is a way because my fog light wires were cut when i bought my car and no power was going to them. My brother helped me wire a new set of wires from both my fog lights to the battery and to the switch, so i can turn it on with the car off and the headlights down.

You didn't use a relay and a fuse?

why not wire up the relay so it'll work when the headlights are off? that's what i did, and i know i'll never fry the switch

By moving the signal wire to power the relay from the low beam circuit to an accessory circuit. ;)

Said circuits can be the dome light, that is the green light under the dash, parking lights, as some people like, or hardwire to a B+ source. The switch provides the ground to the relay, so you won't have too much current.

And after you do what shaeff suggests, dont' forget to turn them off.

Or make sure you wire into one of the fused circuits that only work with the ignition on(like the radio or turn signals) ;)
