Fog Light bulbs

Alright so my fog lights dont work and i have no clue why... i put a volt meter to them and they have like 11v so it is getting power i went and got a new bulb just to try it i got H3-55w from walmart i remember reading these were the bulbs... Any thoughts on why it still dosent work? im thinking it must be a coroded plug but why would it still show voltage on it?

Check the ground side, as that is a very common point of problem.

i have the right bulbs though right?

that is the right bulb

make sure your fog light switch is on, head lights are turned on and high beams are off.

yea i know that... thats why i said there is power to the line cuz i hooked a meter up to it

I'd say the ground also, take a wire brush to everything and get all the corrosion off

alright update... i cut both connectors off and put new ones on thinking that was it... but it still dosent turn on... i have 12v of power right at the plug connector... so im kinda stumped... new bulbs and i checked for corsion on the housings and dosent appear to be any...

any thoughts?

h3 55w bulb from walmart that bulb only has the one connector on it right? and the ground comes off the housing?
