flywheel cover?

do our motors have flywheel covers? i took my head off and the flywheel was exposed

Its called a bellhousing, but there is also a sheet metal cover on the bottom of the engine against the transmission. There is also a sheet metal piece that goes around the sides around the starter etc so it would be covered, if youre missing it someone took it out and you need to pull the trans to put another one in there.

ill take pics tomorrow it got dark out. but basically if i look by where the starter is i cna see the teeth for the flywheel

You talking about the lack one that goes in between the engien and transmission, it's bolted with two 12mm bolts.
