Ok I got my new intercooler (ssautochrome 12x24x4")the other day for the FFIM I will be building soon I was curious how it flowed against my current setup (spearco stock replacment) I also brought along a stock intercooler for comparison to see how bad it really is these tests were done on a flow tek machine the #s are a bit off but these are only for COMPARSION purposes only I dont know the pressure drop of efficiencies of these units I also took a few pics of the difference between the spearco and the SS.
STOCK-410 CFM:3d_frown:
SPEARCO-770CFM
SSAUTO-870CFM
Like I stated earlier these numbers are a bit off the spearco is rated at 1080 cfm so the SS is higher than that I was not to surprised by the stock intercoolers results.

Nice! That's some useful information... now if only we had efficiency numbers as well... how would you feel about mounting temp probes pre & post IC, then putting each of these ICs on and running on the dyno?

Ya ya, I know, I'm wishing. :D

my old set up is the spearco/CT 60 trim when the car is going again it will be a bit different turbo/pipes/intercooler set up/intake so I cant just swap out intercoolers if I was retaining the same set up this would be feasable sorry.

alright! nice researching. it's good to see people actually conducting tests instead of simply looking and making (uneducated) guesses from there.
