Guys got any pics of mkiii's in flat black, my car has some cancer on it I want to take care off, but am not too apt on the idea of repainting the car with a full blown paint job. Just a feeler though, I'm open to any other ideas you guys throw at me.
I wish I could snap some pics for you guys but I don't have time to run to my shop until next week.

Your car will end up looking like primer, if you don't get a professional "Satin" paint job.

Why dont you spray the whole car in Rhino Liner?
Seriously I worked with someone here that did it and it didn't look half bad. I wish I had pics but I got none, only my word

I saw a truck in rhino liner once, wasn't all that impressed and the stuff is expensive. Really, I'd be painting it flat black to ward of the rust issue after taking care of it, so the car is all one color. I would proly end up repainting it somewhere within a year, so just getting an idea. And I realize it isn't going to look satin, I just want a uniform color while I get more important mechanical things done on my car. Thanks for the input though.

Funny that, because I just searched thread titles only and got all of the following:

I'm starting the conversion to flat black (temporary until I actually get the Supra repainted next year). The nose cone is done, the front bumper is next.

You mentioned that you're planning on doing some body work first, then paint your car later...But when you spray paint your car flat black, it will look like primer and your buildup just regressed to "Project Unclean 87"

I'd just keep the gay blue for now, then get your bodywork, aero kit install (if any), and professional paint job done at the same time.
