Hey I need some input. What do you guys think about a flat black supra. Now not a crappy krylon spray paint out of can paint job, I mean professionally done. if you've seen the new skunk 2 civic thats flat black. I don't know I will probably be painting my car soon as probably obvious by some of my other posts so i'm trying to think of a color. I'll probably do just regular gloss black but I think if done right with nice wheels flat black would look good.

a wheel like this

with a greddy aero bumper

what do you think?

Flat black = business.
If you have a bodyshop spray a flat black with a clearcoat loaded with dulling agent, it'd look pretty good.

lol, funny you mention that, I was looking through walmart the other day and they had this chalkboard paint, which reminded me of that civic show car of long ago, and thought "when I paint my subaru, i'll do it in this" then carry chalk around with me.. it'd be fun, cuz it's a beater.

Flat black wouldn't show up minor imperfections, but it doesn't look like that's going to be a problem. You're car in the pic is pretty damn stunning man. I would either keep it like it is... or spray a little blue pearl if the body and panels are real clean. just my two cents

I think you need to stop thinking about changing that hot ass silver before I have you commited to the loony bin... That color is hot! That car is hot! The wheels on it should go, and put those other ones on there...

*btw: Im completely biased to the silver! lol... See sig*

Ask this question here: Nah, get gloss paint, I prefer that.
Ask this question on Club4AG: OMG YES, FLAT BLACK IS SO HOT! I LOVE IT SO MUCH, GO FLAT BLACK!

My opinion, skip the flat black, it makes your car look like it's unfinished, I don't care how nice of a paint job it is, but you do what you like. :)

Just my opinion, but it looks good. Sometimes.
I saw a few pics of an R32 gts-t type M painted flat black, with the GTR bonnet and grill and I must say I was taken aback at the look. Clearly the car looked aggressive, and all business.
I also agree with the people here saying that silver is hot with a capital H, and i'd just leave it be and change those rims.

Flat black with stealth airforce markings painted on would look hot, IMO. I've been so tempted to do that to a car for ages... especially if you did the engine bay in a light grey. :)

However, the guys are right when they say that your current color is damn nice.

Now if your car was white...

I agree with the guys who say to keep your car painted the way it is. The current paint looks flawless. "If it ain't broke..."

Also, those wheels look a good deal better than the ones you already have on the car, in my opinion.

I bought the car with those wheels I hate em. just been spending all my money on the motor and tranny. the body just has some minor imperfections I am getting taken care of, and I'm putting on the greddy bumper, mabye bomex sides and rears if I can get the money. thanx for all the complements though. We'll see how it ends up in a couple weeks.

im a fan of flat black on some things, but my vote is keep the current paint, buy the new wheels, enjoy.

the wheels that came on the car look a bit iffy at best :icon_conf

im sure you can sell them for a little bit to help offset the cost of the new wheels.

just my opinion! :biglaugh:

i know i'm gonna catch some crap for this but mine is painted flat black, but it's cause my paint was trashed and i was in the marine corp and didn't have alot of money. so this can give you an idea of what it looks like.

the hood looks like crap but whatever, unless you guys wanna give me money to fix it then it stays.
