Fixing a vac leak causing lean running?

So this is more general turbo related than Supra related, but I'm having issues being lean on top in my turboed Escort after plugging a vac port I missed when I put the engine in. I was running 12psi and now I don't have enough fuel for 9psi, trying to figure out if my fuel pump is crapping out or if the vac leak was really bleeding off that much air.

Figured I'd ask the turbo experts instead of the Escort guys since there are like 3 people on the whole forum running turbos...

it might have been bleeding off that much pressure, it wouldn't surprise me.

does the car feel slower?

Hey Poodles, I remember your DDP Feels like it has less torque, probably because I'm running leaner. I also backed the boost down, about 7psi is all I can run and stay safe. Guess I'll check the pump out too, it's got 175k on it and I haven't exactly been nice to it since the turbo install...

id turn the boost down to 4 or 5 and i wouldnt be boosting.
(untill the problem is solved)

what year escort and did you drop in a GTX engine or boost the one you have. my friend is running 12-14 PSI on his gtx swap

It's a '93 with a turboed 2.0L SOHC engine out of a '97.
