Reaper has the right idea tunning is good of you don't already have something 
Everyone Says Cams Unlock great potential from the engine so after the Fuel tunning i would go for that.
Even with keeping boost basicly stock there should be some nice improvments

yea i talked to a guy in town and im getting his stock 2J cams for 25 bucks!!!!
they aren't much but a definite improvment over stock.....i'll get em machined to fit and all that jazz....
but i'd do fuel tuning first you can squeeze more out of it since the 1J runs rich as it is stock

Which 2J Cams can you use the ones from the GE or GTE?
and do you know the specs to get them ground down. Sounds like a cool upgrade

on the 2j cams, i just took a machine shop a set of 1j and 2j cams and told them to make em match every measurement on em (journals and front things, not lobes)
yea the GTE cams are what you use.
