getting my 88 surpa turbo back from my friend today or tomorrow that pressure washed the engine bay, did some mnior body work,and dropped my jdm motor...here is the story behind this....i got the car last dec for 1500.00 it had a bad fuel pump me and ray ::94gs-r:: dropped the tank and replaced the pump with a walbro 255 and we cleaned the fuel tank out of all the gunk that was in it. Also put a new fuel filter on it as well...well the car started but the turbo wouldnt spool up..i pulled the intake off of the turbo and went to spin the shaft and it was froze...so bad turbo...i was going to just rebuild the turbo but i decided just to order a jdm 7mgte for it b/c it came with a turbo and i didnt know what else this motor had been through. so right after i ordered the jdm7mgte ::in march:: when i had the money... i pulled the stock motor and tranny out.. i started taking the stock motor apart to see if there was anything else i didnt see on it. Well i took the head off and first thing i noticed was a stuck valve. so it was a good thing i ordered the jdm already. So just to make sure i wouldnt have the same frustration as others did i went ahead and ordered a 1.2 hks metal head gasket and arp head bolts since this was the main problem that the mkiii supras had. I didnt need this problem later down the road when i could just fix it now since the jdm motor was still out of the car. well since then ive added a gutted d/p,afpr,centerforce dual fricition clutch,k&n drop in filter,minor weight reduction since this car is a cow, and a 180 thermostat hoping it will help keep the car cooloer..after i get the clutch broken in i am doing 3 inch catback exhaust,mbc to 11psi,intercooler hard pipes. then next upgrade will b bov,and bigger intercooler,maf-t,550cc injectors, and raising the boost to 15psi. bigger turbo will probably b the last thing i do and i will upgrade it to just a 60trim ct26 as to where i dont want to go to big just yet
