Today my headgasket blew... and by blew, I mean in under 2 miles I had no coolant left, it was pretty jacked up.

There's a fairly local place that offers 7mGTEs for 845 bucks, I'm going to go pick one up on Thursday... what should I look for? I called the company a few weeks ago, they had three in stock. I'm taking a guy I consider a friend from the boards who is very knowladgeable about engines so I'm pretty confident, but I'd like everyone elses input as well.

I have all the IC piping, and IC, 89+ECU and harness, so I'm pretty much ready to drop the engine in, what should I look for on the engine? I'm going to check the turbo shaft play, the condition of the cams, what the oil looks like... is there anything else that anyone would recommend? I would also like to know what differences the engines have between 87-88 and 89-92, if any.

Before the engine goes in its going to get a Cometc MHG and I'm going to powder coat/wheelabrate<sp> alot of the parts to make everything look really clean, anything else recommended?

Also, I'm getting a BIC DP, I've already got an Apexi Power Intake, I'm going to get a eBay catch can, a summit oil filter relocation kit... any suggestions along those lines of products I should pickup?

while doing your MHG with the engine out, might as well change All possible Gaskets, valve cover, waterpump, thermostat I think theirs a kit where you get all the gaskets for the engine...mgiht as well if the engine is getting stripped....everything is so much more easily reachable.

I second that. There are some very lame locations that they put the hoses in, replce all of them, it will make life with the Supra much more liveable.
