Well I've been eying the guy down the street from me's '90 supra for about 6 months now. (His name's Thanh, pronounced like John) I finally caught him outside today on my way home.
The idiot has NO mechanical knowledge what-so-ever. He ran the car "without liquid coolant for a while". So he blew it up. A few of the features:
+The car has NO RUST what-so-ever, body or frame.
+Every option except the CD player, and I'm gonna put my Alpine CDA-9830 in it anyway.
+The TEMS still works.
+It's Ice blue with dark gray interior.
+Turbo spools great he said.
+75% on the tires.
+Interior is like 98% perfect...looks almost brand new. No cracks anywhere.
+Thanh is the second owner. He bought it from Pappas Toyota, where Tom Pappas owned it.
+Well actually I guess I should've put a (-) in front of this one: the back window is SHATTERED...as in like gone. Some ass clown threw a brick through it.
+It's an automatic (thinking about switching to 5-speed, but since it'd be a daily driver, I'm not real sure...)
That's all I can think of for now. I should make you all guess how much he wants for it--but I won't taunt you-lol
I offered him "around a thousand dollars" and he was VERY interested. He said that he WAS going to buy a replacement motor from some guy for 6600 and then get it installed for 1200. I almost laughed when he said it, cuz it was a 7mgte with 35k miles on it. As far as I'm concerned, I'll get a 1jz for cheaper than that and put it in myself!! If anything I'll buy a 7mgte from one of you nice folks here with a 5-speed attached to it and do the whole swap at once...
