On saturday night (8-12) and sunday morning Noah89T, Forcedtorque, Buckshotglass & I get back from Dave & Busters.

We start shooting the sheeeet about 1.30am. I decide to start cleaning my windows and just random crap to the car for the next day's car show.

About 2am buckshotglass deicides to call it a night.

I look off in the distance.... "Hey guys, look theres lightning."

I think its time we start packing up the party and call it a night.

I go to roll up my windows.

CLICK. NO WINDOW. CLICK CLICK CLICK. NO WINDOW.

Aww SH!!!!!T!

Both of my windows are down and neither want to come up.

No big deal, we'll just take the plug off the back of the window switch and hot wire the window.

NOTHING WORKS.

About this time a hurricane comes to town. The trees are now at 45 deg + and the wind is about 30+mph.

Quick! Call Nelson (95blacktoy).

"Hey Nelson, this is Jon. Is there any body at Sound Performance still up? Maybe I can drive my car over there real quick and work on it?

"Let me make some phone calls Jon, and I'll call you right back. Im 10 miles north of you, and its POURING out here!

*CliCK*

So then while we are waiting for Nelson, I told Forcedtorque to haul balls inside and get some plastic bags. At least I could tape my windows shut.

*POOF!*

Noah89T gets the passenger side to roll up.

*SWEEEETNESS!*

Forcedtorque returns with some plastic bags and we go to work taping up the window, all while the wind is now well over 30mph.

*RING RING*

(Noah89T) "Hello Nelson!

"There's no one over at SP. There is a parking garage near you that you could park the car in untill the rain passes. I did make some phone calls, and they said you need to hot wire the window motor.

"Thanks man.

*CLICK*

Forcedtorque and I continue to work on the taping of the window while Noah89T continues to try and hot wire the plug to make the window go up.

*CUE COLD, LARGE PELLETT 30+MPH BLOWING RAIN DROPS, AND ACTION!*

Awwww sh!!!!!!!!!!!T!!!!

Wind blowing, rain raining, Noah89t is still working on the car, and Forcedtorque and I are still trying to patch up the little holes in the plastic.

Noah89T then spots a sheltered over hang at the hotel across the parking lot.

TO THE OTHER HOTEL ON THE DOUBLE!!!!

*Its now 3 or so am sunday morning*

All three of us are now cold, tired, and wet with a window that still won't go up.

*CUE DICK ASS MANAGER OF THE HOTEL*

"You know I could call up the police and make you guys leave...

Guess what pal? All three of us don't care who you call - WE'RE WORKING ON THIS CAR RIGHT HERE!

So finally, the three of us come up with the bright idea of tearing the door panel off the door.

*WALAH!*

Two wires comming from the window motor.

*CUE NOAH89T AND HIS BATTERY JUMP BOX*

*zap zap arc arc spark*

Window rolls up.

*Sweetness!*

By the time we get all the tape & plastic off....

And we get the door put back together....

Its now close to 4am.

*THE END*

I can't say thank you enough to Scott (forcedtorque) & Noah (Noah89t) for being champs and staying up so late, through cold ass water and pounding wind & rain to not leave a fellow supra man down or behind.

You act like you don't think Dave knew what was about to happen..............;)

I'm telling you, he's a tricky tricky man. I bet he's the one that pulled the wires out of the motor in the first place.............:biglaugh:

I'm glad you had someone to help you during the storm. I knew the southern guys would come through in a clinch. I was driving home at that time. I drove nearly straight through. I only stopped for an hour once and thirty minutes another time. I was dead tired once I finally made it home.

shit, that's what i thought at first.

john, did you have a chance to find a new switch yet? assuming it is the switches fault. www.car-parts.com would be a good start. it was a good time even though the weather was against us.
special thanks to whoever was in the Cadillac to help us jump start the sc when my box finally died.
