Ron R. Said his long runner flowed 280cfm/runner and his short, 300cfm/runner.

I'm sure there's a pretty good difference, especially when you start pushing 2bar...
I have no personal experiences, though...

FFI owns stock intake... That's all that matters... There have been guys that picked up 40+rwhp from going ffi only...

I chose the long runner, because Im not raising my RPM limit, and I want the low end torque... I'll let you knwo how it works for me, but it might be a while...

EXACTLY! No matter which style you go with a good FFIM will out perform the stock 7M intake manifold by far. On stock boost levels the differance most likely won't be all that much between the two.....I can't say for sure but it would seem like the higher boost levels/ higher HP levels and higher RPM's you are at the bigger the differance would be between a short runner and a long runner style FFIM. I just ordered a short runner FFIM from Sethron71.......my friend Jonathan has one from him too........when we get our new externaly WG turbo/FFIM set-ups complete....We'll let you know the differance.

I know of the long/short runner theory, but does that still hold true for forced induction? The theory as I was taught was for N/A, just wondering if it still holds true...

Reason I ask is because theoretically, you'll get boost sooner on short runners because less area to pressurize...does it work in the same theory that more compression will make what I call better "N/A power", or in other words off-boost power? Thus, long runners although theoretically a bit laggier (doubtfully noticeably laggier) will still make more bottom end grunt?

yes it still aplies to turbo cars cause air flow is air flow

next time you have a air compreser swap air nozzles from a none tube type to a long tube type

it's really how you stream the air flow to the head so run size and langth applies alot

i tried hard to make my point though it suck alot i knwo alot but cna spell have of it

Been there done that. (had both that is) The stock intake runner vs a short or even long is a major difference. I gain almost 40 wheel hp just by switching on my car and spool was around 300 rpm's quicker. I also gained this power at less boost. Throttle response was also noticeable to me. Is it worth it?..yes, would I suggest it?..yes. but not only does it make power, it makes things alot easier to work on and is much cleaner.

Keep in mind the CFM of a stock 7m head is pretty poor..

197cfm int.
141cfm exh.

Which style will give better throttle response, short or long runner FFI?

Now for the ten million dollar question: Where is the best place to buy a FFI? What would a fair price be for one?

that is right caus ei know for fact that dune head is ported ect and going form 60 mill to 80 mill is a big chnage

One place and one place only. > ronram7728@aol.com Email Ron as he makes the best quality parts by far and price is good. These are also flow tested. You can get one like mine or a similar one which he can get a pic for you.

I failed to mention that my intake from Ron flows 333 CFM per runner (better than the Veilside for the MKIV's at less than half the price ;))
