Few Questions..

I have three questions before I officially buy all my parts for my MK3 2jzgte swap project.

1) I want a 6-speed Supra. Will the following replace the 5 speed in a MK3? (do all mk3's have 5-speed)
JDM Toyota 3.0L 2JZ-GTE Complete Engine
JDM 6 Speed Manual Transmission
JDM Computer (ECU)
Twin turbochargers
Intake manifold
Exhaust manifold
Wiring harness
Alternator
Throttle Body
Power Steering Pump
A/C Compressor
Starter
Clutch
Flywheel

2) I want to get my car painted a black (Black Magic Pearl). What price do you think this will run.

3) I want a nice new interior. I want to keep everything, just get everything restitched with black suede. Price?

well, for one thing, its gonna take a lot of work to put the 6 spd into the MKIII. the getrag doesn't fit in the mkiii tranny tunnel. and the shifter is located a bit further aft.
search it. theres lots of information on this.

Well unless you have your heart set on a MK3. You might be better off looking for a MK4 supra. The price of the swap, fabrication, paint and interior would be close to the price of a MK4.

yeah and your probably going to need a custom driveshaft and mk4 diff i believe but don't quote me on that.

yeah man alot of mod work needed for that.... the 6 will not fit the MKIII... and the MKIII is an auto ro 5speed.... if you are in love with MKIII's do a 1jz-gte or a 2jz-gte swap with the 5speed... or go get a MKIV ...

well last time i checked it was about 500-600 bucks to just get the front seats recovered in leather and since u want to do the entire interior in black suede it'll probably quite a bit more than that. you can use logic to figure that one out. and its gonna be tough to say how much its gonna be to paint ur car black. it depends on the condition of the car, what kinda job u want done, and if u intend to strip the car down all the way and do engine bay, door jams, etc. y not just got 1j with a 5 speed or 2j with a 5 speed if u want it that bad. Y do u want a 6 speed so badly? u do realized that having a 6 speed in ur car wont make it faster right?

even if you are going with the 6 speed, you will need everything in the thread minus the bellhousing. But the benefit to cost of the 6 speed doesnt seem worth it to me.

If you had actually spent some time looking around and searching for information about a 2j swap you would realize how short-sighted these questions are. There are so many different variables that we cannot begin to answer your inquiry.

Do us all a favor and read some more about the topic before asking these types of questions. The information is everywhere.

The other questions have nothing to do with the forum section you posted in.

Yeah that's true. High traffic areas you should get strong material like leather. That's what I did to my recaro's.
