well i got my car running pretty decent, but im throwing a few codes. a 22(watertemp sensor) 24(inake air temp sensor) 32(air flow meter) 41(throttle position) i dont really understand whats going on because the only time it runs bad at all is on the first start up when its cold. once i get it started(which takes alot of cranking) it barely runs and everytime i touch the gas it wants to die. i think the reason for the hard starts is i may have not hooked up the cold start injector, but that wouldnt have anything to do with the codes its throughing and it running bad when i do get it started would it?

i cant get my timing to go below 14 with the terminals jumped, does that mean i have the CPS a tooth off? i just run out of flange when i try to adjust it.

also , can anyone explain or find me a write up on how to do a wheel bearing? i have one and i think you have to press it in? im not sure though.

and my starter grinds against the flywheel, do i shim it or what? im not sure how that works iv just heard of shims for starters.

i would go out and diagnois myself but im sick, so im trying to gather as much info first as i can. thanks for anyhelp!

maybe i should edit that, my car runs great once is it warmed up. no stumbles or hicups or missfires. it is only when it is just cold and warming up. also i tried my afm on my buddys supra and it works great. so that leads me to believe its wiring maybe? and i cleaned out the connecters real good and put dielectric grease on them last night, but i havent tried clearing the codes and starting it yet.

What ever you do DO NOT CLEAN THE AFM SENSOR ITSELF! You will kill it in short order. With all of these sensor codes you are getting you may want to take a closer look at your wire harness ;).

when i started it today i had alot of trouble getting it started. i found out that my cold start injector IS hooked up. im not really sure what to check now. maybe i will pull it out and clean it really good. can the coolant temp sensor code have anything to do with this? does anyone have a diagram of all the sensors on the thermo housing?

^ My temp switch wires were broken off on my last mkIII turbo and if they weren't getting good connection it would not start. Whether the wires were causing the problems or it was just a coincidence I dunno, but thats how it went for me.

Get on the online TSRM and check your TPS, that wont help it run when you give it gas.

Never done a wheel bearing on a mkIII, so I can't help you there. I do know that the first step is "open wallet, give parts guy all your cash"

If the starter is grinding, you probably need a new ring gear.

No cold start would make it hard start , but should be fine once its running, if it runs crappy, and you have a coolant temp code, you need to look into the coolant temp sensor(green sensor below t-stat area)
