Fender flares or weld on some fenders from another mk3?

Hey guys i have a quick question.

What do you guys think would be more economical, in terms of body work and then in terms of tires.
1. Buying fender flares because my rear fenders have been pulled to accommodate rpf1s with i think 1.5 inch spacers.
2. welding on some fenders off of my donor car and taking the spacers off

any opinion is greatly appreciated.
